Breaking Barriers Dive Grant
Empowering Young Athletes Through Opportunity
At the Rose Bowl Aquatics Diving Team, we believe every child deserves the chance to dive into their dreams, regardless of financial circumstances. Thanks to the generous support of the 2025 USA Diving Developmental Grant, the Rose Bowl Diving Boosters, and the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center’s Financial Assistance Program, we’re making that belief a reality through the Breaking Barriers Dive Grant.
Why It Matters
Pasadena is a vibrant and diverse community, but the high cost of living makes access to sports programs like diving unattainable for many families. This grant is breaking down barriers, offering young athletes the chance to:
- Build confidence and resilience
- Develop discipline and teamwork skills
- Access a supportive and inclusive community
By addressing financial limitations, we’re not just fostering athletic talent—we’re shaping future leaders.
What is the Breaking Barriers Dive Grant?
The Breaking Barriers Dive Grant is a transformative initiative designed to eliminate financial obstacles for young athletes eager to explore the sport of diving. This program introduces kids from underserved communities to the joy and benefits of diving while providing them with a clear pathway to long-term participation in our sport.
Through this initiative, we’ll offer:
- Six "Learn to Dive Days" in 2025: 100 youth participants will receive a free diving lessons and exposure to the fundamentals of the sport.
- USA Diving Memberships: Helping cover part of the cost for 12 athletes transitioning into full team participation.
- Event Registration Fees: Financial aid for 18 athletes to compete in local diving meets.
